My husband and I are planning a trip for next spring. This will be my sons 2nd time, and our daughters first. Our daughter will be 3 and is still in need of a nap throughout the day. Can we leave the park and return throughout the day?

Greetings, Melissa! It's so exciting that you are returning to the Disneyland Resort and this time with your daughter for her first visit!

I certainly understand the need for little ones to nap during busy days at the parks. My daughter usually requires a nap as well so we often head back to the hotel in the afternoons. You can absolutely leave and return to the parks during the day. Just get your hand stamped on the way out of the park as this will help expedite the process when you return to the gates and scan your ticket again.

If you happen to be staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, then heading back to the room for a mid-day break couldn't be easier. Each hotel is just a short walk from the parks. Sometimes we feed our daughter lunch earlier in the afternoon, and then when she's ready for a nap, we go to Napolini in the Downtown Disney District and pick up a pizza for us to enjoy in the room while she snoozes.

Please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again if you have any other questions. I love giving tips to parents traveling to the Disneyland Resort with young children and preschoolers!
