Hello! My husband and I are planning a trip with our 18 month old in September. I would love to take him to MNSSHP but I am not sure that it is practical or worth it. We are planning on heading back during the day to nap and rest. Is it a must do??

    Hi Shannon,

For our family, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party has always been a must-do on our fall vacations. We took both of our children when they were toddlers, and even though they fell asleep before the fireworks, it was still worth it. My husband and I loved the party atmosphere and special events.

However, you know your child best. If you think he'll sleep ok in the stroller or is a night owl (my daughter was always up for nighttime adventures), then I most certainly think it's worth it, especially since your little one won't need a party ticket. We typically plan for a pool morning the day after a party so everyone is rested and happy.

If you have the type of child who needs to stick to a routine, you may be better off skipping the party so you're all ready to continue exploring the parks the following day. You'll still have plenty of magical memories to make on your vacation!

Please let me know if you have any other questions, Shannon. I'd love to help you make your vacation as pixie-dusted as possible.

    Have a Disney day,
    Ashley
