My husband and I are planning a trip with our four kids (ages 17, 11, 7 & 2) in Sept. How are the crowds and weather? Also do you have any ideas on fun things for toddlers?

    Hi Barbara,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question! September is actually one of my favourite times of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort, for several reasons.

First, crowds have historically tend to be lighter during that month, especially after Labor Day. One little caveat, however, would be that because the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival now starts in mid-September, Epcot can get busy during the night, especially in September. Personally, I think that a bit of crowding is worth it in order to have access to all of the yummy goodies that the Festival has to offer!

Second, although the weather can still be quite warm and humid, it’s not nearly as stifling as the summertime can be. The average temperature in Orlando is in the low 80s in September, with a good chance of rain almost every day.

As a Mama to a very active little 3 year old boy, I have a ton of ideas for fun things for you to do during your upcoming visit! First, I recommend that you visit the Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones page in order to get some inspiration. If you have any specific questions about the ideas you’ll find there, please don’t hesitate to come back and visit us and we’ll be thrilled to help you design a fun-filled day for your entire family.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
