My husband and I are planning a trip in February or March. What dates should be avoided for higher crowds? St Patrick's day, etc....

Hi, Kathy - from another Kathy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's help you choose those travel dates so you can start planning your magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Faith and begorrah, you're bound to find the Irish and Irish-at-heart roving Epcot or parking themselves on a stool at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Disney Springs on St. Patrick's Day. Mostly, though, March at Walt Disney World will see large spring break crowds seeking warmer climes and a dose of fun in the Theme Parks.

Much of February is practically perfect at Walt Disney World, although you will see crowds rise significantly Presidents Day weekend leading into the Princess Half Marathon a week later. Early February, or late February into early March are probably your best bets.

Kathy, early spring is one of the best times to check out my favorite Park - Epcot! You'll have one of two fabulous festivals to discover, starting with the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, which has quickly gained a loyal following. It takes place January 18 through February 25, 2019, and features hands-on artistic displays, music from Disney Broadway shows, and some incredibly creative culinary choices. In March, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom, with its own fun food scene, concerts, flowery displays, and the ever-popular topiaries.

I hope this helps you choose the perfect time for your Walt Disney World vacation, Kathy. Please stop by and see us again if you have any other questions. Happy travels!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
