My husband and I are planning a trip for February 2009. Our boys will be 4 yrs. and 9 months old. What area in the Carribean Beach would you recommend we request to stay?

Most of the activities at Caribbean Beach Resort take place at Old Port Royale.  That is where you'll find the food court, main themed pool, sit-down restaurant, arcade, lobby, and shops.  If proximity to this central hub of the resort is important to you, you might consider reserving a room in one of the preferred buildings (Martinique and Trinidad North).  Room rates for these buildings are slightly higher.

If you don't want to incur the extra expense, you could request a room in either Aruba or Jamaica, both of which offer some rooms within reasonable walking distance to the resort center.  The furthest buildings from Old Port Royale are Trinidad South and Barbados and the walk from these villages to the resort hub is fairly long (believe me, I know from experience!).

Hopefully this information will help you to make the right decision for your family based on your preferences.  Enjoy your stay in the "islands"!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
