My husband and I are planning a trip to DWR in the spring of 2012... but we're concerned that it might be a little too early for our son who will have just turned 3. Do you think we should hold off for a year or two to get the most out of our experience?

    Hi Lyndsay:

I'm a parent of two boys, ages five and four, who have been traveling to Walt Disney World since they were infants. In my opinion, three is a perfect age to bring your son to Walt Disney World. He will likely enjoy the experience, and you will always remember it, and can capture parts of the trip through pictures and video that you can keep and share for a lifetime or longer. As my boys grow older they love watching videos of our past Disney World trips, and viewing these movies is a great family bonding experience.

Have a look at Disney's in-depth planning page for traveling to Walt Disney World with younger children. As you enter the parks, pick up a Times Guide for parades and show schedules throughout the day. During your visit, you can't go wrong with a character meal, particularly at Chef Mickey's.

    Enjoy your vacation.
