Greetings, Melissa, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! First off, congratulations on your exciting news! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than at the
Happiest Place on Earth!
As the mom of three little Mouseketeers, I have visited the theme parks during all stages of my three pregnancies, and I’m happy to report that there are still plenty of
attractions,
shows, and experiences available to pregnant women. To help you figure out which attractions you may want to avoid, the Disneyland Resort has an
“Expectant Mothers Advisory” in place for any attractions that could potentially be harmful to you or baby. Currently, there are
16 attractions on that list, including thrill rides like Hyperspace Mountain, Incredicoaster, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. So, as long as you avoid the attractions on this list, you should be just fine!
Not to worry, though, because there are still plenty of
attractions I’ve enjoyed riding during my pregnancies. Here’s a list of a few of my favorites: “it’s a small world” Holiday, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Golden Zephyr, Jungle Cruise, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Soarin’ Around the World.
You won’t want to miss the unique experiences inside the Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land, too! My family loves Animation Academy, Turtle Talk with Crush, and Sorcerer’s Workshop. The Animation Courtyard gallery in the main lobby is also a great spot to kick back and relax in the air-conditioning on the plush couches.
Back at Disneyland Park, take a break with a view on the Disneyland Railroad or the Disneyland Monorail. Also, be sure to stay hydrated throughout your Disney day by stopping by any
quick-service restaurant for a complimentary cup of ice water.
The
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are my favorite time of year to visit! Be sure to grab a hot chocolate and a seat on Main Street, U.S.A. for
A Christmas Fantasy Parade. You won’t want to miss
World of Color – Season of Light, too! You may even want to consider booking a
World of Color Dessert Party, so you can enjoy the show from the comfort of a reserved seat in Paradise Gardens Park.
Last but not least, here's the
Entertainment Schedule for your arrival day, so you can start mapping out your magical plans now.
Wishing you a joyful visit to the Merriest Place on Earth, Melissa! Take care, and have fun!
