My husband and I are planning a trip to Disney World in Sept. or Oct. of this year. Can anyone recommend the best resort (moderate) for a couple of empty-nesters?

    Hi Rachel!

You picked an awesome time of year to vacation in Walt Disney World!  My Moderate Resort recommendation for you is Port Orleans French Quarter.  I stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter in March of 2010 and I absolutely loved it! My observations were that Port Orleans French Quarter was a compact, incredible Resort with great rooms, an awesome pool with a waterslide, and a great food court. All of the buildings in French Quarter were very close to the main lobby which houses the food court, gift shop, and the Disney bus stops. The rooms have double beds like the Value Resorts do, but in the Moderate Resorts you get a small refrigerator that comes with the room as well as a small coffee maker. French Quarter is the perfect Resort for those who prefer the less busy, quiet Resort feeling.  I would highly recommend choosing Port Orleans French Quarter for your next trip to Walt Disney World.

Don't forget to explore the fabulous Food and Wine Festival at Epcot which starts the first week of October this year!

I hope that you and your husband make some memories that last forever on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
