My husband and I are planning a trip to Disney world in august for about 4 days.. We have a 1 year old and a 4 year old. what park should we take them to. and where should we stay. we are on a budget.

Hi Eva! If you are here for 4 days, you can definitely see more than 1 park. I think as far as activities for both kids, the Magic Kingdom is a great place to start. There are so many rides that both can go on together and still have fun - some of my family's favorites over the years have been It's a Small World, Peter Pan's Flight, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and of course, Dumbo - and that's just in Fantasyland. Something else my kids always enjoyed when some of the rides were either too old or a bit too scary for them was the the Main Street Railroad. It's such a wonderful way to get an overview of the parks. It's also a great way to get some much needed cool breezes in August, as you must know being a Florida resident!

Be sure to look into the attractions at the other parks as well - Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Depending on what your kids are interested in, they may find lots to do. The Playhouse Disney show at Hollywood Studios comes to mind as a great show for both of them.

As far as where to stay, check out the prices on the DisneyWorld.com site to see where your budget lies. If you compare prices and check out the Disney Dining Plan, a moderate resort might actually be within your range. If you go with one of the Value resorts, my family loves Pop Century. Shockingly, my kids actually prefer it to the Deluxe resorts! The huge pop icons that decorate the property, the arcade, the food court and the huge pools keep them happy during our entire stay. The All-Star Movies, Music, and Sports resorts are similar in design and amenities, so if you think your family would prefer one location or theme over another, take your pick!

I hope you have a wonderful stay, be sure you have your camera ready to capture the amazing memories your children will experience while you visit! If you have any further questions, be sure to come back so we can help.
