Christiania:
Thanks for asking the Moms Panel! And congratulations on your daughter's first trip: what a memory maker for all of you.
I would definitely rule out Epcot, leaving you with the choice between
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Animal Kingdom. From there, it's all about what entertains your daughter the most: animals or Disney characters. I had one child who loved the zoo when she was young and could watch the monkeys for hours! And with a two-year-old, there are plenty of opportunities to see wildlife not only on the
Kilamanjaro Safari, but also at Affection Station at Rafiki's Planet Watch (more plainly called a petting zoo). The Lion King, more than Nemo, can also offer some engaging entertainment. The park's downside, is its vastness. You'll need a stroller to traverse all there is to offer.
Disney's Hollywood Studios is for the child who knows all the words to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, even if you don't recognize half of them! Pixar Characters dot the landscape and provide the meet-and-greets even at restaurants like Hollywood and Vine. Attractions such as Muppet Vision in 3-D, The Little Mermaid, and Disney Junior-Live on Stage provide plenty of entertainment even the little ones will enjoy. Sadly, I felt my now-9-year-old knew more of the characters at DHS on our first visit than the Magic Kingdom thanks to Toy Story and The Incredibles. Unlike Animal Kingdom, DHS is the resort's smallest theme park and won't wear you out.
Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
