My husband and I are planning a trip to disney in December with our two children (2 1/2 and 1). We are thinking of either staying at the Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Resort. Which hotel has the most to offer for small children?

    Hi Jaclyn!

The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort at Walt Disney World.  In fact, I think it's my favorite resort in the whole world.  I love it there.  I love the theming.  I love the atmosphere.  I love the Whispering Canyon Cafe, the family Table Service restaurant located right off the lobby.  I love the boat service between it and the Magic Kingdom.

However, if you are looking for a place that really appeals to small children, then I recommend going with the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  It's been my son's, now age 7, favorite place for years.  I think most young guests would chose Animal Kingdom Lodge over the Wilderness Lodge.  It's hard to beat the exotic animals hanging around right outside the hotel!  There are plenty of places to explore around the resort.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any  more questions!
