My husband and I are planning to travel to WDW with my parents. Do I have to do anything special to make ADRs for the 4 of us to be able to eat together and still use the meals off our own dining plans?

Hi, Noelle!   There is nothing special you will need to do when making your Advance Dining Reservations.   Just make the reservation for your entire party so you are seated together.   When you arrive at the restaurant and before you order,  let your server know how you want the checks divided so you can each use your own dining credits and pay your own gratuity.   You and your husband will get one check at the end of the meal and your parents will get their own.

I just did this recently.   My family of 4 was on one check and my parents had their own check.   It was absolutely no problem;   the servers are used to multiple families traveling together.

I hope you have a great time in WDW and enjoy all the great dining experiences!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
