Hello, my husband and I are planning to travel to Disney in the month of September with our 4 yr. old daughter. My question is, should we stay in one of the resorts accessible via the monorail since we know we will be using a stroller?

Many families travel to Walt Disney World and bring their personal strollers from home since they want to use them outside of the parks and back at their resorts.  All Disney transportation, (monorails, boats, and busses), are equipped to handle this important necessity.  It is important to remember that when boarding a bus you must have the stroller firmly folded to its smallest capacity and keep it that way during your ride. This is in accordance to a Florida state law and the drivers are not able to continue unless they are all secured.  Sometimes this becomes difficult if families have used the stroller to store items and then have to unload not only the child but many bags.  However, if you are organized and prepared, riding a bus with a stroller is not difficult.

I would choose a resort for the theme and amenities that interest you.  The monorail resorts are close to the Magic Kingdom and are all in the deluxe category.  They have many wonderful things offered at each and all have rooms with views of the castle at the Magic Kingdom.  There are other great places on property and I suggest you take the time to review some of the resort categories to see what they offer and what is best for your family.  Please click HERE to see the link to this information.  Have fun and I know you will have a magical time in September!
