Hello, my husband and I are planning to take our toddler to Disneyworld this month. I will also be 13 weeks pregnant during the time of our vacation. Is there a way we can get accelerated to the front of lines and not have to wait? Thank you so much!

    Hi Christianne,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! My family visited Walt Disney World Resort with a toddler while I was pregnant, and although I couldn’t enjoy every attraction, it was still a magical vacation.

It sounds like Disney Genie+ Service would be perfect for your family. Disney Genie+ Service allows you to make Lightning Lane selections on the day of your visit so you can have expedited access to the rides! You can make your first Lightning Lane selection beginning at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit. Additional Lightning Lane selections can be made after redeeming a Lightning Lane entry or after waiting two hours, whichever comes first. Disney Genie+ Service can be purchased in the My Disney Experience mobile app each day of your vacation. Prices vary based on the date and theme park you are visiting.

Lightning Lane entry is available for most attractions through the Disney Genie+ Service. Select attractions in each theme park require an Individual Lightning Lane purchase, also available through the My Disney Experience mobile app. Attractions available with Individual Lightning Lane are subject to change, but in previous experience, these are some fast-paced, thrilling attractions that expectant mothers are advised not to ride. I also suggest you check the height requirements for these attractions to make sure your toddler can ride before purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane.

As an extra tip, let’s talk about where to go if you need a break from being on your feet! In Magic Kingdom Park, I love to visit Mickey’s PhilharMagic to take a seat and enjoy a show. This is a 3D experience, which made for some great memories of watching my toddlers reach out and try to interact with each scene. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there are several choices for entertainment like Beauty and the Beast- Live on Stage, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy, which was a favorite for my toddler. Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the Festival of the Lion King is a fun performance that will have your family singing along. In EPCOT, I always enjoy a relaxing ride through Living with the Land or Spaceship Earth, and the new Dreamers Point has seating options throughout the area.

I hope this helps you prepare for your visit, Christianne. Make sure you visit the characters and share the news of your growing family! Check out these tips from planDisney for visiting Walt Disney World Resort with little ones and please come see us again if you have any future questions!

    Enjoy making magical memories,
