My husband and I are planning on running in the Disney Princess Half Marathon. Are their any hotels that are within walking distance from the start line?

    Hi Melissa!

The Disney Princess is a great race!  My husband and I ran it together in 2010 and had a great time.

The starting line is in the Epcot parking lot.  Technically, the Epcot area resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn) are the closest to the start and finish areas.  Since the race begins so early, Epcot won't be open before the race.  This means you wouldn't be able to walk from your resort to the start.  You can walk back through Epcot to those resorts after the race, IF you have a ticket to get in Epcot.

Your best bet is to stay at one of the Princess Half Marathon host resorts.  The host resorts provide bus transportation to all of the events during race weekend.  Runners and spectators can use the buses.  You can find a list of the host resort and available packages on the Princess Half Marathon travel information page.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
