If my husband and I are planning a November trip, and want to get AP, could we buy them in Jan/Feb before the price increase? Or do they have to be purchased closer to the activation date?

    Hi Laryssa,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

I’m happy to say that, typically, you can purchase a Walt Disney World Annual Pass and link it to your My Disney Experience account several months before you actually use it to enter a Theme Park for the first time. Your activation date will be the day that you first use it, regardless of when it was purchased.

I don’t know whether prices will be increasing early in 2019 but I always recommend purchasing Theme Park Tickets sooner rather than later as prices (and sometimes even perks or other entitlements) can change without notice. There may also be some additional blackout dates imposed on tickets purchased prior to a certain period, so make sure to read the fine print when you do make your purchase.

I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect Fall 2019 visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
