My husband and I are planning on making a reservation next year to the restaurant Ohana, with an aim to enjoy the Wishes fireworks from our table/window. I've read a whole mixture of reviews, what is your opinion, are we better off booking elsewhere?

Hi Jenna! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resorts is one of my favorite restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort. When I enter this restaurant there is such a welcoming atmosphere and an environment of family that it makes me feel like I am at home. In fact ‘Ohana actually translated means family.

In my opinion the food is absolutely delicious. Food is served family style and is plentiful. I could make a meal out of the appetizers/starters alone. Servers walk around with a variety of fresh meats and seafood offerings. If you like bread pudding then the dessert here may be one of your favorites!

I see that you are hoping to be able to enjoy Wishes nighttime spectacular with a window view. The one thing that I have to mention to you is that while the Cast Members will try to accommodate special requests, there is no guarantee that your request will be accommodated. So if you are hoping to dine here just for a good view then I would maybe consider re-thinking this as an option. If you are hoping to dine here because the food is delicious, the atmosphere is fun and inviting (and even a bit romantic) and you just can’t wait to try it out then this is the dining location for you!

I hope that you have an unforgettable time!
