My husband and I are planning our first wdw trip for Jan 2012 with our 6 year old twins.. I was wondering how to pick where to stay, there are so many choices. Is there different things to do at different resorts? Which places would you pick?

    Hi Kelly,

How exciting that you are planning your very first trip to Walt Disney World!

We have stayed in Value, Moderate & Deluxe Resorts on-site and have enjoyed our stays at each and every one of them.

I would suggest that you firstly decide which level of accommodations are within your budget and then look at the individual hotels within that category.

The main difference between the Value and Moderate Resorts is that the rooms are slightly larger in the Moderate Resorts and come complete with an in-room Refrigerator. The pools at each Moderate Resort also have a water slide whilst those at Value Resorts do not.

Deluxe Resorts have rooms which are bigger still and more luxurious as a whole. They generally offer more table service and signature restaurants as well as Character meals and have better transportation links to the parks.

The main differences between Resorts within the same category are theming and location.

You can find out about each of the individual Resorts HERE

I hope that this helps you to reach a decision but rest assured wherever you decide on, you will have a simply magical time!
