My husband and I are planning our first trip to WDW in July with our children (11 and 6). We booked the Pop Century hotel and have been paying that down.We are trying to save up some money for the rest of the trip but not sure how much more we will need.

Kassandra what an exciting trip you have coming up in July!

There are many different things to look at when planning your budget for a vacation at Walt Disney World.  They just extended the offer of Buy 4 Get 3 Free and you might want to call reservations to see if you can adapt your reservation to this offer for your July stay.

You did not mention if you had included a dining package with your reservation.  Please click HERE to see the different ways you can add dining and park tickets to your room.  It is a wonderful way to have literally almost everything paid for in advance so you are not having to watch every penny during the trip.  The cast members at reservations will help you work with the best plan possible for your needs and budget and add anything that is needed to your existing reservation.

The basic components when thinking about a budget is the room, park tickets, dining, and recreation.  Everything inside a park is included with your park ticket except food and drink and souvenirs. All rides and entertainment are part of the park ticket price.  Dining is at your discretion as to what kind of restaurant you wish to select.  You can see many of the menus for the table service and quick service places through-out the property but going to www.allears.net and typing in MENUS in the search box at the top.  Most will also post some pricing and that might help with your decisions.  Some recreation will have extra fees such as tours, boat rentals, and arcades. The use of the pools at your resort will be no charge.

Souvenirs can be tempting but we have often given a certain amount of Disney dollars to our children and grandchildren with the word that it was to be used for their special purchase for the trip.  They would shop carefully and slowly and not want to grab everything they could see in the stores since they were in charge!
