Hi! My husband and I are planning our first trip to Walt Disney Work with our 2 year old son. What are some age appropriate experiences you would say are a must do for him? He'll be almost 3 when we go and is already 36 inches tall. Thanks!

    Hi Ashley!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you're planning your Mouseketeer's first visit to meet Mickey! No matter what you all end up doing, you're going to love watching the Magic of Disney come to life through his eyes.

I love that Walt Disney World Resort was designed with the whole family in mind. Some of my now-three-year-old son's favorite attractions are Kilimanjaro Safaris, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. But he's also really into modes of transportation, too, so for us no trip is complete without driving his own car at the Tomorrowland Speedway, zooming around on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, and even riding the monorail.

Some of my favorite memories haven't come from just the attractions. My son loves to dance and sing and clap along to the various Entertainment Options and Shows, like the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, Festival of the Lion King stage show, and Happy Ever After, the fireworks show in Magic Kingdom Park. And Character Meet & Greets are super cute at this age, too. Pro Tip: Meeting a life-size Disney friend for the first time can be a bit intimidating, so bring an autograph book, pillow case or something for the characters to sign as a way to "break the ice" and encourage interaction.
