Ahoy Christina!
So thrilled to see a question from a fellow SC resident! I'm hoping y’all are counting down the days to your Eastern Caribbean sailing and
all the magic that's included. I have one in college too, so I’ve asked her to help me out on what onboard activities and excursions are most appealing to her on a Disney cruise!
Just Dance! Our favorite way to burn calories on a Disney cruise is the Silent DJ Party, where everyone dances to music with headphones while listening to different channels. Nothing better than getting to "Bust a Move" (one of our favorite tunes) on the dance floor.
Chill Out! My daughter is thrilled she can finally book a spa treatment at
Senses Spa and Salon now that she’s over 18. From massages to facials, they put the AHH in spa!
Mangia Mangia! If you are pasta fans, make a
reservation at Palo for the whole family. It’s adult-exclusive dining (at an extra cost but SO worth it). Offering both dinner and brunch, the hard part is deciding which meal to book!
Sunny Days! Catching some rays poolside at the
Quiet Cove pool sounds like just the ticket for your crew. Not to mention that the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have my favorite spot called Satellite Falls, complete with a sundeck for lounging and a wading pool with a cascading shower for chilling.
Miniature Golf! There’s really nothing like a friendly game of miniature golf overlooking the ocean. Oh who am I kidding? It’s usually pretty competitive with my young adults! Bragging rights are at stake!
Java time! One thing I can safely assume: most college students love coffee and caffeine! Cove Café is just the ticket with lattes prepared lovingly...even characters adorn the drinks!
Meet Friends! If your college students are ages 18-20, Disney Cruise Line has a social group created just for them called (you guessed it)... the 1820 Society! It’s perfect for young adults who have bridged the gap from the Youth Clubs, but still want to connect with people their age.
Port Adventures! Since Disney Cruise Line boasts a diverse assortment of Eastern Caribbean ports, I’m not certain which destinations are on your itinerary. Port Adventures usually include a few options for adults-only excursions, which can be narrowed by your ports of call and then scrolling the list to see which ones include “Adults Only” in the title. There are even fabulous ones on Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Our favorites are
Parasailing and the
Abaco Rigid Hull Snorkeling Adventure.
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you set sail. Wishing you grand adventures as you make magical memories with your family!
SEA ya real soon!
