    My husband and I are planning a 3 day trip to MK and AK with our 22month old. Can you recommend a Disney hotel that would best accomodate us? We hope to take advantage of hotel pool and reduce time travel between MK, AK, and hotel as much as possible.

    Although Animal Kingdom Lodge has views of Animal Kingdom, you can't walk to the front gate and you need a bus to take you to both it and Magic Kingdom. With that in mind, I'd have to put my vote for one of the resorts on the monorail.

    You can't lose staying at one of the three monorail resorts: Grand Floridian, Polynesian, or the Contemporary. However, my vote goes to Polynesian for your ability to not only hop on the monorail to Magic Kingdom but take a stroll to the Transportation and Ticket Center for additional bus transportation to Animal Kingdom.

    And did I mention its pool? Request the Samoa building that sits near the pool area--and better yet, a first-floor room on the pool side of the building for your best access to the Nanea Volcano Pool!
