Hi! My husband and I are planning to take our 3 children ages 9, 7, & 5 to Disney Land in the beg. of Jan. We've never been. Is it worth it to stay on the property or should we really consider staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel? Is 5 days to many?

Hi Melissa, This all really depends on your budget. The only hotel on Disneyland property that I would stay at is the Grand Californian Hotel, but this is their highest class hotel there and is very pricey. In my opinion, I have stayed at the other two hotels (Disneyland hotel and Paradise Pier), apart from the location, I did not think that these hotels lived up to their expectation of their star rating and price level. I do love staying at the Hyatt hotel in Anaheim, it is a beautiful hotel (clean, very comfortable, extremely family friendly) and they offer a complimentary shuttle which is frequent and very quick (just a few blocks away) and it is reasonably priced as long as it's not during one of their special convention dates, etc.... There are many Good Neighbor hotels at Disneyland to choose from and you may have to do a bit of research yourself on those as there are too many to list here with pros and cons, but out of all of them the above choice (Hyatt) would be my first (depending again on budget). Lastly, I must say that for my family, 5 days would not be enough, but we could enjoy a month there so for the average family and first timers I would say 5 days would probably be perfect. Best wishes, Brigitta
