My husband and I are planning to take our boys (9,5) on their first Disney cruise and theme park vacation. We are traveling in October, 2011. I am trying to decide between a standard room at Wilderness Lodge or a studio villa at Boardwalk Inn.

    Hi Catherine!

I'm soooo jealous!  You are going to have the time of your life on this trip!!!  I've taken three Disney cruises and my 4th is booked for this October.  You will never want to travel on another cruise line again.  I promise!  You can have a ton of time for you and your husband because when you drop your kids off at their clubs, they will never want to see you again!  I am not joking...No guilt....go take a nap or go to the spa.....

I have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge.  It is majestic!  It's one of my favorite Disney resorts.  My husband and kids love it too.  I think that for the amount of actual time you are going to spend in the room a standard would be just fine.  I would request bunk beds for the boys if they like their own space.

I know that you're going to have a fabulous trip, but I'm sending extra pixie dust your way for even more magic!  Have fun!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
