My husband and I have planned a trip to DW in May with our 2 foster children. We'd like to take our grandson who won't quite be 2 when we travel. I know toddlers are "free" but are there any costs at all for him to come with us? I.e. dining, t

    Hi Stephanie!

I started laughing when I read this question because when our first son was under three, my husband and I tried to justify multiple trips to Disney in a given year because we didn't have to pay for a ticket for him.  However, when we had to purchase an extra piece of luggage to cart home the life-sized Mickey stuffed animal and miscellaneous other souvenirs we bought for him, we realized our rationalization was a bit skewed!

All kidding aside, your grandson can indeed be cost-free if you include him on your vacation.  He won't require a park ticket, and as long as he shares food from an adult's plate, you won't have to purchase meals for him.  (This is very easy to do, because the portions at Disney restaurants are HUGE.)   Obviously, if you order him a separate entree, that  would be at an additional cost.

I hope your family has a fabulous vacation!
