My husband and I want to plan a trip for Feb 2022. I understand that we use to be able make a hotel only reservation 499 days in advance. Has this changed?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amy!

I'm glad to hear you are already thinking about planning a Walt Disney World vacation for 2022!  In the past, room rates and vacation packages for the following calendar year have been released for booking sometime in June.  Guests could make a room-only reservation up to 499 days in advance by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line.  The reservation could later be modified to a vacation package once packages for those dates had been released.

During the recent closure and phased reopening period, new ticket sales and resort reservations were temporarily paused to focus on Guests with existing tickets and reservations.  Beginning June 24, 2020, Guests will be able to book 2021 travel dates for select Disney Resort hotels.  At this time we do not have word on when reservations will be available for 2022.

499 days in advance of your February 2022 trip would be October of this year.  I recommend keeping your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements regarding new reservations and also monitor the operational updates page for new information.  Of course, you are also welcome to check back with the Moms Panel this Fall to see if we have any updates on reservations for 2022.  We are always happy to help.
