My husband has a 100 percent service connected disability. He is unable to travel but I was in the VA Auxiliary. My two grandchildren and daughter and I would love to go to Disney. Is there anyway we can get discounted ticket passes to go without the Vet

Hi there, Frances! Welcome to planDisney. We're so happy you're here!

I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning a magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort next year! The best news is that you'd like to visit with your daughter and two grandchildren. As a military spouse, I know what a gift quality time together is and I couldn't be happier for you! When it comes to making memories that will last a lifetime, I can't think of a better backdrop than The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Frances, Eligible Service Members are able to purchase Disney Military Salute Tickets at Morale, Welfare, and Recreation at their local base or through Shades of Green. Eligible Service Members are active and retired members of the military, as well as their spouses. From what I understand, if your husband has a military ID with the DAVPRM code (Disabled Veteran Permanent), he should be eligible for Disney Military Salute Tickets. As his spouse, you would also be eligible to purchase these tickets as long as you also have a military spouse ID and that you accompany the other Guests in your travel party on this trip! If you have specific questions about your eligibility or requirements, I'd encourage you to reach out to Morale, Welfare, and Recreation or contact Shades of Green.

Personally, I prefer to purchase my tickets through Shades of Green! Though there's a small fee to mail the tickets, I like that they arrive activated and ready to be used. You'll be able to scan right into the parks! If you purchase your tickets through Military, Welfare, and Recreation, you'll be asked to activate your tickets with your military ID at Guest Relations outside of the parks before your first park visit. Once you receive your tickets, be sure that you link them to your My Disney Experience account!

Just so you're prepared, Disney Military Salute tickets for 2024 haven't been released at the time of this writing. Typically, you can expect this offering to be released in the fall (last year, I was able to request my tickets around September). Offerings are subject to change, so I'd keep an eye on the Special Offers page a little later this year!

Frances, I want to truly thank you and your husband for your service. I'm wishing upon a star that you have the most magical vacation! And if you have any other questions, please write to us again.
