Although you are more than welcome to upgrade your son's
Annual Pass at any time through the
My Disney Experience mobile app, please keep in mind that the upgraded pass will still have the same expiration date as his original pass. If you and your husband do decide to upgrade your son's pass in January, he will have access to the same blockout calendar as you for four months until his pass needs to be renewed.
Jessica, just know that if you upgrade your son's pass in January you will still have to pay the entire price difference between the original pass and the new pass, and then you will have to purchase his new pass again in May. If I were you, I would renew your two passes as normal in January, and once your son's pass is up for renewal in May, I would go ahead and upgrade all three of them at the same time.
