My husband and I have passes that renew in January, while my son has a pass that renews in May. We would like to upgrade our passes since now to accommodate his school schedule. Can we upgrade his when we upgrade ours?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Jessica! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question!

Although you are more than welcome to upgrade your son's Annual Pass at any time through the My Disney Experience mobile app, please keep in mind that the upgraded pass will still have the same expiration date as his original pass. If you and your husband do decide to upgrade your son's pass in January, he will have access to the same blockout calendar as you for four months until his pass needs to be renewed.

Jessica, just know that if you upgrade your son's pass in January you will still have to pay the entire price difference between the original pass and the new pass, and then you will have to purchase his new pass again in May. If I were you, I would renew your two passes as normal in January, and once your son's pass is up for renewal in May, I would go ahead and upgrade all three of them at the same time.

Being a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder is so much fun, right? Between the special perks and discounts, the freebies that we get from time to time, and the limited edition merchandise available for purchase just for us, I actually don't know what I like more! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Holiday season, Jessica. If you have any other questions for us, please don't hesitate to come right back here so we can assist you further. Have a magical weekend!

    Warm hugs,
