    Husband participating in Wine and Dine Half Marathon. How do we get to AOA after the race (and the Afterparty) with 3 little kids (5,3,0)? If we go by taxi will we be able to take the children when we cannot provide seats for the kids? Please help!

    Hi there!  I had to do some research for this one.  Luckily, I have a direct line to the 70+ other moms panelists to get their expert advice!

    What I learned is that you CAN take your kids in your cab with you, even without car seats.  Florida law says you need car seats, but apparently, the taxi cabs don't enforce this.   One panelist advised arranging the cab in advance and having them bring car seats with them when they pick you up.   The same panelist said that there have been many occasions that the cab already had a seat in their trunk and pulled it out for them to use without even being asked.

    So, you can either plan to hold them on your lap for the short trip, book ahead and request car seats (check at your resort desk for cab information), or hope the cab you get has one already.

    Another option you may consider is to use the Kids Nite Out (www.kidsniteout.com) babysitting service and let the kids stay at your resort room while you cheer your husband on and join him for the after party.  I have used the service for my sons before and I loved them.  The sitters are all thoroughly screened and trained, so I feel very comfortable recommending them.
