Hi Linda,
Welcome to planDisney! I am always thrilled to greet another guest from North Carolina!
Well, the managed plans profile dilemma is one that I have navigated in the past. I will say that it may be easier to
contact a cast member in Website Support to get help with this. When you say that your husband is part of your family list, it sounds like you mean that he was included in your
vacation package when you booked it or he is simply part of the group for which you are planning. You could create a profile for him in your Family & Friends List in
My Disney Experience. Just go to your Family & Friends List and click on the option to Add a Guest. When you create that profile, just select the option to manage plans.
Once you have his profile created and managed in your account, you can do a number of things, including linking the correct profile on an existing vacation package reservation, linking theme park tickets, or linking a
MagicBand+ to his new profile. Once you have his profile created and managed you can also explore setting up
Disney MagicMobile Service. We have found this service especially useful when one of us accidentally left a MagicBand in our resort hotel room. Instead of spending time going back to retrieve the MagicBand, we were able to use the digital passes in Disney MagicMobile Service to access park entry.
I will add this - a while back I was having trouble with my husband's My Disney Experience profile and we realized that he had a really old account that was creating confusion. Since we had upcoming plans including quite a few advanced dining reservations, I called to get some help from a cast member in Website Support. They were able to cancel the old profile, make sure the new profile I had created was managed by me, and maintain all of his existing plans.
Linda, if I have misunderstood your question, I apologize! Please drop back by if so and one of us can help. Once you get the profile sorted out, let the packing begin! I am so excited because your trip starts next week!!!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
