My husband and I will be in Orlando for NYE and would like to go to EPCOT for the day/evening! If we buy tickets now will that include any NYE activities or is it better to purchase tickets later in the year?!

    Hello there,

Welcome to planDisney Emma! We are glad you stopped by with this question. Celebrating the new year with Mickey Mouse and your hubby is going to be super magical. I’ll be happy to guide you towards making this a great trip. Let’s get this party started!

The Walt Disney World Resort is my happy place and if you are planning to spend New Year’s Eve at the parks then it’s gotta be one of your favorite places too. New Year’s Eve at the parks is one of the few days that sells out and I would recommend buying those tickets when you first get a chance. Waiting until later only gives the tickets an opportunity to be sold out. Historically, Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT are the two that party the night away. While there aren’t any official plans yet, you will want to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog later in the year for any announcements on New Year’s Eve celebrations. But typically these two parks do take the New Year’s celebration to another level. World Showcase at EPCOT is usually the place to be. You can pick a country to hang out for the New Year’s celebrations, and the traditions are going to be typical of that pavilion. There are also DJs normally spread out if you would like to dance into the new year. What I can almost guarantee is that these parks will reach capacity on New Year’s Eve so park hopping and taking a midday break are not recommended if you plan on being there for the midnight experience.

If you plan on arriving a few days early, you may also be able to experience the International Festival of the Holidays which runs through December 30, 2025. There will be returning favorites like the Holiday Cookie Stroll, if you purchase five of the cookies on the holiday passport you can return with your stamps to get a special surprise at Holiday Sweets and Treats. While traveling throughout World Showcase, be sure to look for the World Showcase Storytellers, they will be available in nine countries this holiday season. The storytellers will share stories on how the holidays are celebrated in their respective countries. These performances happen frequently and also can be checked on the My Disney Experience App for showtimes each day.
