If my husband and older son have a fastpass+ for a ride that my younger son cannot ride, am I able to get a rider switch pass even if I do not have the same fastpass+ for the same ride? So I could use a fastpass+ for something my younger son can do.

    Hi Stacie,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about Disney's Rider Switch Service.  I have 4 children and the Rider Switch Service makes it possible for both my husband and me to enjoy the attractions without incurring any extra wait time when one of our younger children is unable to ride.

The Rider Switch Service is independent from your FastPass+ selections.  Therefore you are correct; you may use the Rider Switch Service without having a FastPass+ selection for that attraction.  Also here is a tip for you:  the Rider Switch pass is good for the entire day.  As long as you redeem it for the date printed on the pass you do not have to immediately switch off.  So if you have other FastPass+ selections or Advanced Dining Reservations to go to you may return later the same day with your Rider Switch pass.

I hope this information is helpful with your Walt Disney World vacation planning!  Please let us know if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help.
