Hi there, Scarlet! Thanks for coming by planDisney with your question! I love how My Disney Experience gives us the option to manage guests we are traveling with and share plans along the way! Let's see how we can get your husband's account situated so you can move on with planning your next adventure to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Scarlet, there is currently no way to transfer a managed account from one guest to another online or through the
My Disney Experience app. One suggestion I have for you is to have your husband create his own account and then follow the process to merge his managed account to his own; this will ensure all of his previous and current plans, tickets, and
MagicBands stay with him. Once he has his own account, you can link with him as Friends and Family and make plans for him (or with him).
I recently did this with my daughter, whose account I have managed over the years, since she is now old enough to have her own My Disney Experience account. The process was quick and simple; she created her account and then from my account, I followed these steps, which your daughter would have to do since she currently manages your husband's account:
- Click on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right-hand side of the app
- Select "My Profile"
- Select "Friends and Family"
- Find his account (it will say "managed by me"
- Click on his account and select "send email" to send an invitation to the email he used to create his new account for him to merge his previously managed account with his new one
Once your daughter completes this process, and your husband accepts the invitation, he will have control of his account and can link to you as Friends and Family, so you can plan together!
If you would rather manage his account entirely, some guests have had success
calling the My Disney Experience team to get assistance with this request, so that is another option you can try if you would prefer!
