My husband is not disabled but may need to use a scooter at the parks. However he does not want to cut in line on the bus system just because he is using a scooter. So will the bus system let him wait in the regular line like everybody else?

    Hi Sandra,

I am happy to hEAR your family is planning to use Disney's complimentary Resort transportation during your stay to get you around all of the Theme Parks, Water Parks, Resorts, and Disney Springs. It is great sitting back and letting someone else do the driving (or piloting) while you are on holidays!

Sandra, when it comes time to use Disney bus transportation while at Walt Disney World, you will find that Disney accommodates guests with mobility issues or requiring use of Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECV's) or "scooters" as they are sometimes called, second to none. At most bus pick up locations throughout Walt Disney World, you will find a separate queuing area for parties with guests travelling with ECV's or requiring special boarding assistance. Please use these queues, and absolutely do NOT feel that you are "cutting" in line, as this is absolutely not true! Disney's priority is to service all guests safely and efficiently, and the best way to do so is to load and secure all guests travelling in ECV's or wheelchairs before other passengers.

While ECV Rentals are available at all Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs on a first-come, first served basis, if your husband wishes to use one at his Resort, your best option would be to rent from a Disney recommended ECV rental providers. These independent companies are authorized to transport your ECV directly to your Disney Resort hotel and collect it afterwards. Upon arrival, simply contact Bell Services to retrieve your ECV, and drop it off to them at the end of your stay.

Wishing you a MAGICAL upcoming trip!
