Hi Reilly!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are so glad you stopped by with this fantastic question!
You spoke to me when you said you were hoping for a date night with your husband. I can’t think of a better place for some adult time than at the Most Magical Place on Earth! While it is so much fun to make magical memories as a family, it is also a lot of fun exploring some of the most delicious dining locations without the kids.
I have personally sent my three children to
Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. When I offered this to them, two of the three kiddos were so excited. My five year old was a bit apprehensive, but with a little convincing, she finally decided she was up for this adventure. I can’t say enough about this experience. As a matter of fact, it’s been nine months since the kids have joined Captain Hook’s crew, and they still talk about this experience. They especially loved Pirate Penny and even still use some of her jokes. We just booked them back into this experience for our upcoming vacation.
Our children weren’t separated during their Pirate adventure. Upon entering the Pirate Hideaway, you’ll see that it is a large room where many activities take place. They will be able to choose their meal, drink, and dessert. They said they had so much fun solving puzzles, hearing jokes. And meeting Captain Hook himself. They were upset when I showed up to get them as they didn’t want to leave. I can’t speak highly enough of this experience and recommend this to all of my friends with young children. My kids can’t wait to go back.
Now onto date night! I found that for the sake of convenience, Epcot was the best place for an evening away. I made dining reservations at
Chefs de France. Their French onion soup is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. We strolled World Showcase and took part in some adult beverage tasting at
Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar in Italy. I also made sure to save room for my absolute favorite Avocado margarita at
La Cava del Tequila. We then finished our evening enjoying the Epcot Nighttime Spectacular. We took a stroll back to Disney’s Beach Club Resort, feeling so calm, rejuvenated, connected, and ready to tackle another day. I recommend making a dining reservation and taking some time to explore World Showcase. It is a completely different experience without the kids.
I can’t recommend Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew and a date night enough. I’m hoping that you will have the most magical evening with your love!
