Hi! My husband and I need your help!! We have booked a disney cruise and 3 nights at Disney World for April 2015. We are torn between the Little Mermaid room at Art of Animation and a room at Port Orleans Riverside. Kids will be 4 and 6. Thanks!!

    Hi there, Emilie!

I am glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question and I'm happy to help! Combining land and sea makes for a practically perfect vacation.  Let me start out by recommending that you check availability for both resorts as soon as possible.  Certain weeks in April can be quite busy and you want to make sure that your resort selection is available.  Between the two resorts you mention, you really can't go wrong.  I am very confident that you and your children would enjoy either resort immensely.
There is also your budget to consider.  Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a Value level accommodation, while Disney's Port  Orleans Resort - Riverside is a Moderate Resort hotel, in terms of pricing.  Kids and kids-at-heart love Art of Animation for the whimsical cartoon embellishments throughout.  On the other hand, you will feel like you have transported to the Louisiana Bayou at Port Orleans.  Which theming is most appealing to you?  Just in case you are interested, Port Orleans - Riverside offers Royal Guest Rooms.  Like the Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation, they are quite special.  Have fun choosing, Emilie!

I wish you a truly magical vacation.
