My husband is in the Navy and he out currently out to sea. My children and I will be at Epcot Center on his birthday (August 31). He would like us to celebrate his birthday at the park. How do I go about doing that? Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi, Melinda!

To start off, I would like to say THANK YOU to your husband for his service to our country.   He is true American Hero. You and your kids must be so very proud of him!

There are military discounts that are offered at Walt Disney World.  DISCOUNTED TICKETS can be purchased by military personnel and their spouses with proper military identification.  ROOM DISCOUNTS are also available.

As far as celebrating, start with celebration buttons!  Stop by Guest Services and each of you can get a free Happy Birthday button.  Snap a picture with all of wearing your buttons and email it your husband. He will really enjoy this!

Bring along a large birthday card.  Stop by a few character Meet and Greets and have your Disney pals sign the card.  Mail it off to your hubby.  Really, how often do you get a card from a superstar Mouse?!

Wishing you a great time in Epcot with your family and make sure to take lots of photos to share with your Prince Charming.  Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
