    My husband, myself, and our 2 year old son are arriving around 10AM. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. What are some options/activities to do this first day without entering the parks? What is there to do other than eat/shop in Downtown Disney?

    Hello, Casey!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    You and your family are simply going to LOVE Disney's Wilderness Lodge!  The atmosphere is breathtaking and there is a lot to do, so let's get started.

    Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long is a must.  These two mischievous characters will make their rounds for autographs and pictures.  Marshmallows are available for the roast or you can bring your own items to snack on.  Get ready to sing, sing, sing!  This event usually lasts about 45 minutes.  

    You can also catch a Disney film with "Movies Under the Stars" at your resort.  I am sure you little one will delight in being able to enjoy some outside time while taking in a great Disney Classic.

    The resort's Silver Creek Springs Pool has a fun water slide that will keep your little one entertained.  Pool temperature is kept at 82 degrees year round so that guests can enjoy it no matter what time of year they visit.  

    You can also dine at any of our select Disney Resorts for great character dining experiences.  If you are interested in starting your vacation with Mickey & Friends while dining on some great food, please come and visit me again and I will be happy to tell you about some great ones.  I can also provide some transportation tips.
