My husband and myself are in our late 70’s and would love to walk the Disney parks BUT DO NOT RIDE THE RIDES is there a way we can do this without paying a full price for a ticket?

Welcome to planDisney Phyllis. Thanks for dropping in with your question.

Walt Disney World Resort is a great place to visit whether you are 2 or 82. Once you visit Magic Kingdom Park you will be whisked away to yesteryear as you head down Main Street U.S.A. When it comes to discounts for not riding all the rides they unfortunately do not exist. Luckily the majority of the attractions and experiences were made with the intention that the whole family could enjoy them together. There are only a handful of attractions that most 70-year-olds would consider either a little too aggressive or startling. The shows and parades are also a huge part of enjoying the parks. Attractions you may want to consider to ensure you can fully enjoy this wonderful park include The Hall of Presidents, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. There are so many awesome things to do like getting a hug from Mickey Mouse himself at one of the character Meet and Greet locations.

When the night winds down, you may want to find a nice location to watch the nighttime fireworks spectacular Happily Ever After. This show returned to the park in April of 2023 and has dazzled the masses since then. There are now projections on the buildings lining Main Street U.S.A. so no matter where you decide is a good location you will see the special images you know from years of Disney animation.

Hopefully, this information is useful. If you need any other tips or have any other questions about your visit, revisit us at planDisney.com anytime.

    Have a magical day,
