My husband, myself and our 2 daughters are bringing my parents with us in November. They are in their 70's and will be using a EVC. Do moving rides, such as Haunted mansion, slow down or stop so they can get on w/o a problem? I want them to have fun too

Depending on the attraction, there are different scenarios for accommodating guests with challenged mobility. When approaching an attraction, ask the Cast Member greeting guests what the options are for your parents using EVCs. A helpful guide, The Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities,
is available through Guest Services upon your arrival.

Your park map will also indicate which attractions a guest may remain in an ECV, must transfer from an ECV, must transfer to a standard wheelchair or must transfer to a standard wheelchair, and then to a ride vehicle. There are symbols next to each attraction that will explain the procedure for each show or ride.

For example, the Jungle Cruise offers a wheelchair entrance. If the guest is able to transfer from the ECV to the boat, then the family can board any boat. Otherwise, you must wait for an ECV accessible boat. For Pirates of the Caribbean, ECV guests must transfer to a wheelchair provided at the ride’s entrance.

For any moving walkways such as at the Haunted Mansion, the walkway can be slowed or stopped to facilitate a safe entry onto the ride. If you must leave your ECV, ask the Cast Member where you will unload. If you exit in a different area than you entered, usually your ECV is brought to the unloading area.

Cast Members are very helpful in explaining the procedure at each attraction, however they are not allowed to physically assist a guest who is entering or exiting.
