My husband and myself are coming to Disney to celebrate my 50th birthday....no kids or grandkids, just us. We purchased the Memory Maker, if we decide to do Capture your Moment, is there an additional fee or will it be included in the Memory Maker?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Andrea!

Let me begin with well wishes from all of us at planDisney to you! “Happy Birthday!”. You’ve selected the best place to celebrate this very special day. Trust me, I try to visit every year for my birthday too, because there’s nowhere else I would rather celebrate than at Walt Disney World. My husband and I are trying to coordinate our next birthday trip to be kid-free, too, especially since our birthdays are one day apart. We are hoping the grandparents will agree to hang back and watch our little ones, but they probably will end up booking and tagging along. They also enjoy a Disney vacation, and fear missing out on a good time, which is probably why we’ve never visited as a couple; everyone just joins us. I’m so happy that you get to do this for yours!

Memory Maker is the perfect addition to any visit. It’s the best way to make those core memories last forever through a photo. Some of our best family photos are the ones we’ve taken using Memory Maker, so I know you are going to just love how these photos turn out. Make sure to stop and grab a photo anytime you see a Disney PhotoPass Photographer as you are enjoying the theme parks.

A Capture your Moment session is different from the standard Memory Maker.  Capture your Moment is a personalized, twenty-minute photo session with a Disney PhotoPass Photographer. It’s a fun way to capture your special day in a unique style. The perfect birthday addition, if I might add. You’ll want to book this Enchanting Extra at your 60-day mark, and the cost is separate from your original Memory Maker purchase. It’s just a special way to sprinkle a little more magic into your day and make you feel like a star!

If you are looking for a fun addition to your already purchased Memory Maker, I recommend heading over to the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs. You don’t need a reservation to enjoy this included experience! You’ll simply walk in and strike a pose with select props and random backdrops. It’s a fun way to get a mini photo session with your spouse. All the photos from this session are included in your Memory Maker purchase and will be in your photo downloads shortly after your session. My family loves experiencing this option. We usually do this on our arrival day as it is a fun way to kick-start our trip and “practice our smiles,” as my little one says.

Andrea, I hope this helps clarify the difference between Memory Maker and a Capture Your Moment session. If you have any other questions, please ask away! We are always here, ready to help.

Happy Birthday and see ya real soon,

    Shantel

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
