Hi Olivia! I hope you enjoy Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party as much as my family does. This year we will be heading to the Magic Kingdom for the last one of the season on December 19th and I can't wait! It is a place that will make the holidays seem magical
Almost all of the Magic Kingdom attractions will be operating the night of the party.Such things as Jungle Cruise will be closed due to the lack of lighting to see the majority of the attraction. You can read more about the evening, see the list of attractions and dining open, and even see maps by clicking
HERE.
Since this will be your only time in the park during your trip I recommend you arrive no later then 7:00pm so you can begin hitting everything you want to do that night. Come rested so you can stay as late as possible. Naturally the later you stay the fewer the crowds will be. Most families tend to depart after the fireworks show.
Some of the best times to hit the more popular attractions will be during the first parade. The second parade is less crowded and it is easier to find a curb side seat for this one. The parade is wonderful and certainly worth taking the time to watch it so plan on the second one which will happen after the fireworks show.
Also save Fantasyland for the end of the evening. Again many of the families will head there first and then leave before the end of the party due to younger children being tired.
Do take time to stop and enjoy some cookies and cocoa at one of the spots in the park. And make sure you walk down Main Street to enjoy the snow that will be falling! Have a magical night.....your first sight of the castle with all the lights shining will take your breath away! I can't wait to get to Walt Disney World!
