Hi Deborah!
In not too long, you will be in
Walt Disney World ready to fly with Dumbo, indulge in a Dole Whip, and view spectacular fireworks!
My mother had Parkinson's Disease and attractions that used moving sidewalks to board where an issue with her balance and mobility issues. We found the best way to discover what rides where accessible for her was to ask a Cast Member before we entered the line.
Some attractions with conveyor belt boarding allow for Cast Members to slow or stop the walkway, but some do not allow for slow downs. Haunted Mansion does allow for the walkway to be slowed or stopped. Some rides, such as
Pirates of the Caribbean, are easy to enter, but have a tricky exit. Pirates of the Caribbean has a steep moving walkway after you disembark, but an elevator is available. The
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover requires maneuvering up a similar steep moving incline to reach the boarding area. Never hesitate to ask is an attraction is accessible for your husband.
Walt Disney World's Disability Services is available to help you before your visit. Call a Cast Member at (407) 560-2547 or email at disibility.services@disneyparks.com.
Wishing you a wonderful visit to see Mickey!
