My husband is in the military. We live in VA now but are moving back to FL in February, still FL residents . We want to purchase the FL Resident Annual passes - can they be mailed to VA or should I purchase when we move? Our trip is 10 days after we move

    Hi Alyssa,

Welcome back to Florida! When you purchase a Florida residents annual pass online, you receive an electronic certificate that you exchange for your passes on your first visit.

You will need to take the certificate and proof of Florida residency for each member of your family over the age of 18 to a ticket window or Guest Relations desk to activate the passes. Your pass year begins the day you activate, not the day you purchase online.

If you are a Florida resident with a valid Florida address, you can choose the monthly payment plan for your annual passes, whether you buy them online or in person.

The main advantage I see to buying in advance of your trip is to gain access to FastPass+ advance reservations. Valid tickets must be linked to your account in order to take advantage of FastPass+.

I just renewed my family's passes and was able to enter the barcode number on the electronic certificate into My Disney Experience to give me access to FastPass+ reservations before my new passes are activated.

My family loves being Walt Disney World passholders, and I hope your family will, too. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help. Again, welcome home!
