My husband is military, so if we drive to SOG, then switch to POFQ in the middle of our trip, will Disney move our luggage for us? SOG is a good deal, but would love to stay in Royal Guest Rooms for DD, 13 and 6. Thanks so much. Y'all are the best!!!!

    Hi Jennifer,

It sounds like you have a fun vacation planned. Shades of Green is beautiful and spacious, while the Royal Guests Rooms at Port Orleans Riverside are truly fun and magical. As far as transferring your luggage, I've heard mixed reports. At a regular WDW Resort, you would have absolutely no trouble. You simply call bell services, they arrange for your luggage to be moved, and when you check in at resort #2 your luggage is waiting. It's hassle free.

Because Shades of Green isn't an "official" Disney Resort, the policy may be different. Some guests have contacted bell services and had no trouble with the transfer. I think it's worth asking bell services when you arrive. If they can't accommodate, you can always either drive your luggage to the Port Orleans before you head to the parks for the day. Bell services at Port Orleans will hold your luggage and deliver it to your room while you are away. Otherwise, you could keep it in your car and bring it with you when you check in.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
