My husband is in the military and we are coming on Sept 21-28 with our 2 kids and his parents. We have taken advantage of the discounted room and park tickets. Is there any shops or activites that offer a military discount on in WDW? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Carrie!

First off, I'd like to thank your entire family for serving our country. While your husband may be the one wearing the uniform, he couldn't do what he does to keep us safe without the love and support of his family. I appreciate it very much!

I'm glad to hear that you took advantage of the military discounts for the room rates and the theme park admission. (It's a great deal!)

As far as other discounts go, I've heard of other guests being offered military discounts in some of the shops and restaurants in Downtown Disney. Unfortunately, I haven't heard of any instances where military discounts have been offered on merchandise or food in any of the theme parks or resorts...but it never hurts to ask!

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

At 5:00 PM every day in the Magic Kingdom (weather permitting), a Flag Retreat Ceremony is conducted in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. This is an incredible experience that you and your family would definitely enjoy. In fact, they randomly select one guest who is either active duty or retired military to help with the ceremony each day.

I hope that helps! If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
