Hello! Both my husband and I have MDE accounts and I have been able to add him to our reservations, however he is not able to make changes or add anything. We also have 2 managed accounts included (managed by me) that I have given him access to.

    Hiya Gabriella!

Welcome to planDisney! Your situation sounds just like mine! I'm glad you came by as I know exactly what is happening.

My husband and I faced the same issue recently. I figured out the issue was that when I make a dining reservation I become the "lead" on the reservation or the "Primary Guest." The only one who can change or cancel a dining reservation is the person who used the account to make it. I can make reservations for anyone on my Family & Friends List but those reservations are mine to control. If your husband made his own he will find that he is the only one who can change it and you won't be able to make any changes. My husband and I share our account information so that if we decide to cancel something then either one of us can log in and do it. I'm not sure why you are not able to add anything but if both of you are seeing each other in your respective Family & Friends List then you can make a reservation and then add them to the reservation. For example, if I book a dining reservation at The Crystal Palace for my family of four I will find that the reservation shows my name linked to it with three "guest" spots that I need to fill with the names of the people who are joining me. Once you add your husband to one of the "guest" spots he will see this reservation show up in his plans. This will be true as well for any Enchanting Extras you book.

When in the Parks you can also jointly work together to reserve a spot on the Virtual Queue or book Lightning Lanes. I just advise that each of you divide and conquer this work. My husband and I find at 7 am it is far more strategic and successful to have one of us use their account to book one while the other tries to grab the other. This way there are no glitches and we get everything we want.

Let me know if you continue to have issues!

    Happy Planning!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
