Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Sarah. I am super excited you're here and even more excited to hear you're planning another visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! This time with a
little one in tow! Oh my word - you are going to
make lots of magical memories this Fall.
To answer your first question, your MagicBands from 2019
should be just fine for your upcoming stay. I used my favorite MagicBand from 2018 a few months ago, and it worked perfectly! Before your arrival, I recommend checking the status of your MagicBands on your
My Disney Experience account. On the
My Disney Experience mobile app, tap the three little horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the home screen. Scroll down a bit and tap on the 'MagicBands and More' box. Tap on your account icon to view your current MagicBands. You want to be sure that the MagicBands you wish you use for your upcoming trip are listed as 'Activated - Ready to Use.' If they are, you should be all set!
Now let's chat about your little guy. Guests under the age of 3 do not require Theme Park Tickets (or
Theme Park Reservations!), so you don't need anything, including a MagicBand, in order for him to enter the theme parks with you. That's not to say he can't have a MagicBand if he wants one, though! When my daughter was 2-years old, she very much wanted a MagicBand. I ordered one for her and she loved it! She would tap it at the touch points at the theme park entrances just for the sake of being like her big brothers, but the MagicBand itself was not necessary for entry. She did enjoy using it to open the door of our Disney Resort hotel room, though! As for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you do not need to purchase your 2-year old an event ticket. Little ones under the age of 3 are special Guests of Mickey Mouse!
I hope this was helpful, Sarah. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
