Hello there, Sarah!
Ah, the lightsaber. I’m paraphrasing, but I once heard it described as something along the lines of “
an elegant tool for a more civilized age.” It is so cool that your husband joined with the “Gatherers” at Black Spire Outpost to build his own lightsaber!
At this time, the only spare parts available for purchase at
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge would be additional kyber crystals. You can find these at
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. If you or your husband are interested in additional lightsabers for your collection, Dok-Ondar also sells Legacy Lightsaber hilts. Last year, a
Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber was added to the collection. These Legacy Lightsaber hilts are subject to availability, and while I’d love to tell you which hilts will be available during your visit, to quote Yoda, that is “
Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future.” You can continue to visit
Disney Parks Blog for any future announcements regarding Legacy Lightsabers.
While you are visiting Batuu, I recommend
making a reservation to grab a drink in the local watering hole,
Oga’s Cantina. While there is no cantina band, DJ R-3X provides plenty of musical entertainment while you enjoy your drinks. I also suggest grabbing a Ronto Wrap from
Ronto Roasters before you stop by
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to join Hondo Ohnaka’s crew. And if you have the
MagicBand+, make sure you join the
Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters quest and use your MagicBand+ to help guide you through completing missions.
Enjoy your visit to
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Sarah! Please
visit me again at planDisney!
This is the way,
Kaitlin
