    My husband loves to take our sons fishing. Is there fishing on WDW grounds or nearby? It may be the final negotiating point for our trip to Disney! Thanks

    Hi, well good news, coming from a hunting and fishing family.  There are a few options available, to you and your fishing enthusiasts.  The following Resorts have fishing options:

    The Contemporary Resort: Offers Fishing trips
    Fort Wilderness Campground:  Offers Fishing trips
    Port Orleans:  Has Cane Pole Fishing - my boys loved this!!  Offers Fishing trips as well.
    Wilderness Lodge and Villas - Offer Fishing trips

    So, what are these fishing trips?  They are catch and release fishing excursions.  The Bass in the various waterways are between 2 and 8 pounds.  However, if you happen to fish in the Crescent Lake my 50 pound child, managed to catch a 14 pounder, almost pulled him off the pontoon boat.  The boys caught about 11 bass, in 2 hours.  It was so much fun!!  You can call to find out the rates and availability 407-WDW-BASS.  Have a great trip!!
